Getting to Rincon

Getting from any of the 3 major Puerto Rico airports to Rincon is fairly easy. The best driving directions we’ve found are these: http://www.rincon.org/gettingtorincon.html

There is one important caveat to these directions, in particular those describing how to get to Rincon from San Juan or Aguadilla:  where the rincon.org instructions tell you to make a right turn at route 417 - don’t. For Rincon Del Caribe, it is better to continue past #417. From this point, follow these directions instead:

Continue on #2 - you’ll go up some hills.

On the other side of these, you’ll come to Route 115 - this is the same route you might have seen earlier... it’s a loop. If you drive by a shopping center with a Pep Boys, Sams Club, Home Depot and Kmart, you’ve gone too far and are on your way to Mayaguez. Hang a U-turn.

Turn right (westward) onto 115

Continue on 115 for 4-5 miles. You’ll pass a vista point, and soon after a sign which welcomes you to Rincon

Soon after this, you’ll see a sign which reads Corcega. This is Route 429. Turn left here (there’ll be a small coliseum on the corner).

Continue on 429 until you come to what looks like a 4 way intersection. Follow 429, which turns left.

Immediately after this turn, you’ll see Porto Vecchio Street. Turn right onto Porto Vecchio.

Rincon Del Caribe is the second house on the right.
